Jean-Marie Robine is Director of Research at INSERM, the French National Institute for Health and Medical Research, and Team Leader of the Department of Biostatistics, University of the Health and Demography of Montpellier, France. He is the coordinator of the International Network on Health Expectancy, the project leader of the European Information System of Expectation of Health and Life Project and heat waves, and responsible for the development of the Database on International Longevity. He is one of the principal investigators of the Project of the Genetics of Healthy Aging. He was the project leader of the draft Euro-backs and the European Monitoring Unit of the Expectation of Health, the principal investigator of the European Challenge for Healthy Aging Project, a member of the Committee on Health and Longevity of the International Agency for the Scientific Study of Population and the Managing Committee of Inquiry on Aging World.
